KUALA LUMPUR, 16 May 2007 - JobStreet Corporation Berhad ( Mesdeq: "JOBS") posted its 1st quarter earning results which ended 31 March 2007 with a strong showing indicating that the year has started off very positively for Malaysia’s leading online recruitment website .

In Q1, 2007 JobStreet.com‘s revenue saw a impressive jump of RM2.3 million to RM17.9 million from the previous quarter in 2006 of RM15.6 million. This represented an increase of 14.6% in quarter on quarter revenue performance.

In the terms of the quarter’s profitability, JobStreet recorded a profit before taxation of RM 7.15 million. This figure represents a 30% jump compared with RM5.5 million reported in the corresponding quarter in the preceding financial year.

This increase was a result of strong business growth from JobStreet’s core operating markets of Malaysia, Singapore and Philippines for its products such as JobStreet ESSENTIAL (online job posting service) and JobStreet IMPACT (unified e-recruitment management service).

“We are happy to see that we had started 2007 on a strong footing” said Mark Chang, CEO of JobStreet Corporation Berhad. “ This will mean we can build on this growth with more focus on customer service, jobseeker needs and better and more relevant product roll out.

He added, “We are also pleased with the performance of some of our overseas investment which had already started to yield profits.”

Early this year, JobStreet invested HK$ 15 million (RM 6.7m) to take a 20% stake in Recruit Group Limited (RGL), a subsidiary of Recruit Holdings Ltd. (RHL), which is listed on the GEM market of Hong Kong. Recruit is a leader in recruitment advertising in the Hong Kong market.

JobStreet operates the JobStreet.com ( www.jobstreet.com ) online recruitment websites presently covering the employment markets in Malaysia, Singapore, Philippines, Indonesia, India and Bangladesh. The Group currently services over 40,000 corporate customers and over 4 million jobseekers.
