This appreciation course is specially designed for beginners to gain a quick insight into the exciting and varied hobby.
The Wine Appreciation event is highly recommended to anyone that loves drinking wine or serving wine to anyone who wishes to enhance their wine knowledge.
By the end of the half-day programme, participants will have a basic knowledge of wines covering areas such as how to classify wine, matching with certain food, common recommendations, proper wine tasting and wine storage.

1. Introduction to four different types/categories of wine
- light wine (red + white wine)
- sparkling wine (wine with bubbles)
- fortified wines (extra alcohol contain, eg: Sherry or Port)
- aromatised/vermouth wines (extra alcohol and flavouring, e.g. Martini Bianco)
2. Systematic approach to wine tasting
3. Introduction to grape varieties
4. Storage condition
5. Basic food and wine matching
6. Service of wine- best temperature to serve wine for different types of wines
