New Subscribers of PRIORITY APPLICATION
  1. What is PRIORITY APPLICATION?
    Priority Application is a unique service offered by Jobstreet.com. When you subscribe for this service, your resume will be highlighted as a Priority Application and your application will automatically move to the top of the Applicants List for that job.

    Therefore, the chances are higher that the employers will view your full resume.

    Please note that although an employer views your full resume, your chances of securing the job will still depend on your suitability for the position.

  2. Why should I use Priority Application?
    Each employer will normally receive more than 100 applications for each position they advertise on Jobstreet.com. Priority Application will enable you to:
    • Stand out from the rest of the applicants and attract the employers' attention
    • Your application and resume will be displayed highest on the employer's list
    • You will have a higher chance of being shortlisted, as compared to a normal application received from another jobseeker who has similar work experience and skills.
    • The employer will note that you are a serious jobseeker.

  3. Am I eligible to subscribe to Priority Application?
    You are eligible to subscribe to Priority Application if
    1. You are a JobStreet.com member
    2. Your resume is COMPLETE. Your resume must be fully completed so that as soon as your Priority Application is activated, you can start applying for jobs online, and we will be able to highlight your application as a Priority Application.


  4. How much does it cost to subscribe to Priority Application?
    The charges for PRIORITY APPLICATION are listed below:

    Bullet Sr. Manager & Manager - RM100
    Bullet Senior Executive - RM75
    Bullet Junior Executive - RM50
    Bullet Entry Level & Non-Executive - RM25
    • Each package allows you to highlight an unlimited number of applications which suit your profile.
    • Each package is valid for a period of 6 months from the date of activation.

  5. How do I subscribe to Priority Application?
    Simply select the suitable package to you. The cost of each package is listed above. (please refer to Question 4)

    We have two methods of payment:
    • Online Payment by Credit Card
      Our Credit Card Online Payment is powered by WordPay. This is an absolutely safe and secure method of payment on the Internet.
    • Cheque Payment
      Please issue your Cheque as follows:

      Ringgit: Ex. One hundred only (RM100)*
      * Depends on the package you subscribed

    Your PRIORITY APPLICATION service will be activated upon receipt and clearance of your Cheque.

    Banks usually require three (3) working days to clear a Local Cheque and they require a longer period to clear Outstation Cheques. We will proceed with the activation once the cheque has been cleared. You will receive an email once your Priority Application has been activated.

  6. How can I be sure that my application is a Priority Application?
    As soon as your payment is authorized/cleared - Whenever you make an application, the job application page will tell you that your application will be delivered as a Priority Application.

    Once your subscription is activated, each suitable job application you make will be treated as a Priority Application. Each time you apply to a suitable position, you will get a message that your application is being delivered to the employer as a Priority Application.

  7. Will I be notified when an employer views my resume?
    You will receive an email from us each time an employer views your full resume.

    We are able to track the status of a Priority Applicant's resume which was sent to the employer. This is done by embedding a hidden image within the resume. This image helps us keep track of the count when the employe views your full resume.

    However, if the employer concerned uses MS Outlook or other email applications which have an "Auto Preview Panel", your resume will still be considered as completely viewed, even though we are unable to confirm that your entire resume was read word for word.

  8. Who should subscribe to Priority Application?
    Priority Application is not for candidates who are simply checking out the market or who are not serious about going for interviews.

    This service is highly useful for applicants who are selective and serious in their job applications, and for those whose resumes may have failed to attract the attention of employers.

    Candidates who abuse this service will be charged a penalty.

  9. In what circumstances will I be liable to pay a penalty?
    Priority Application is suitable for serious and selective applicants only. In order to ensure that an applicant is serious in applying for a job while using Priority Application, JobStreet.com will impose a penalty of RM20 for each of the following offences:
    • Failure to attend the interview after confirming a interview appointment or
    • Failure to report for work upon accepting the job offer, without giving any prior notice to the employer


  10. Can I appeal against the penalty if I have a valid excuse?
    Yes. We will entertain appeals. However, the final decision will rest with JobStreet.com, whose decision will be final.

  11. What happens if I choose not to subscribe to Priority Application?
    Priority Application is an optional service. You can choose to subscribe or not to subscribe for this service. If you choose not to subscribe for Priority Application, you may still enjoy the present range of services that we provide Free Of Charge.

  12. If I subscribe to Priority Application, does it mean that I will definitely get a job?
    We will highlight your resume to the employers as described. However employers will invite you to attend an interview only if you possess the skills that they are looking for. An employer may also take other matters into consideration before they invite you for an interview. As such, subscribing to Priority Application does not mean that you will be automatically invited for an interview. However, Priority Application will give you a visible edge over hundreds of other applicants.

  14. Important Upgrade to Priority Application Package.
    All applications in the last 30 days will automatically be highlighted as Priority Application and move to the top of employers’ lists. You will not need to re-apply for those jobs should you wish to upgrade them as Priority Applications. So this means you get 1 whole extra month of applications made Priority at no extra cost.
