Software AG, a leading provider of business integration software for Global 2000 and government organizations, is continuing to expand our team. We are currently seeking a Global Support Engineer.
Provide quality technical support to all webMethods customers; including partners, systems integrators and internal staff.
Global Support Engineer
(Kuala Lumpur - Kuala Lumpur)
Responsibilities:
- Respond to telephone, email, and web inquiries from customers regarding Software AG’s webMethods products.
- Understand, research, troubleshoot, and report all software issues or bugs reported by customers.
- Provide problem resolution in support of product version releases.
- Able to communicate well with customer, product development team and other related team as well
- Able to work in team and independently
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Systems preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of working experience in IT industry with emphasis on technical support required with minimum 1 years of programming skill like Java.
- Experience with database technologies including SQL and JDBC.
- Understanding of how system integration work.
- Knowledge of HTTP and HTTPS protocols.
- Knowledge of various operating systems (i.e. Windows, HP-UX, Linux, Solaris) and networking environments.
- Knowledge various of standards like HTML, XML, Internet, Rosettanet, EDI and electronic commerce technologies a strong plus
- Familiarity with ERP implementations a strong plus.
- Must have a strong customer focus with strong written and verbal skills.
- Good English is a requirement; additional Asian language is a very strong plus.
- Must able to work on shift (24x7)
