Manager, Quality Control - Furniture / Electrical
(Kuala Lumpur)

Responsibilities:

• Maintain QC standards for Suppliers and 3PL Warehouse to adhere to.
• Communicating procedures to the 3PL warehouse, suppliers & buyers and ensuring adherence.
• Sustain progressive improvements to product quality.
• To ensure that all quality issues are identified, addressed and dealt with efficiently and competently.
• Set the quality standards for each of the products to be supplied to us by the supplier.
• Inspect during processing phases to verify that the product meets specified quality standards.
• Observe operations and examines product to ensure it is processed according to company standards.
• Control damage and incomplete stocks from suppliers.
• Conduct full receiving process check on all incoming stocks.
• Conduct random check on all other incoming Goods.
• To work closely with the Warehouse Manager on QC issues, incomplete stocks issues & damages.
• Conduct visit to suppliers with Buyers to discuss any QC issue and to reinforce QC standards.
• Develop Packaging & Handling Standards.
• Document procedures pertaining to QC issues.
• To ensure all assembled items are checked and stamped with QC stamp.
• To collate statistics on QC related matters and present information to relevant parties including Senior Management team.
• To coordinate with Supply Chain and 3PL in setting the standards for loading and unloading as well as stacking and storage of furniture at the warehouse to prevent damage from mishandling.
• To check with Supply Chain and 3PL in the procedure and processes for checking/inspecting delivered products and rejecting incomplete and damaged products from suppliers’ transporters.
• To ensure all damaged and incomplete products are fully documented and reports are promptly generated by 3PL and copies given to our Supply Chain and Buyer for record and to do necessary documentation and follow up action with suppliers on these items.
• To ensure all standards and expectations are clearly stated and communicated to the relevant parties and to state the consequences for non-compliance.
• To ensure all documentation, standard operating procedures and processes are correct and clear and communicated to all relevant parties.

Requirements:

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma or Professional Degree in Logistic/Transportation or equivalent.
• At least 2 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
• Preferably Managers specializing in Quality Control/Assurance or equivalent. Job role in Quality Control/Assurance or equivalent.
• Possess strong numerical, negotiation and communication skills.
• Possess commercial awareness and customer-focused.
• Self-motivated, a good team player, disciplined, committed and able to work under pressure.
• Computer literate, good command of English & Bahasa Malaysia.
• Initiative and ability to work independently.
