Unix Administrator (Singapore) (Changi South Lane)
Responsibilities:
Perform full range of systems administration and support functions on SUN Solaris and IBM AIX servers.
Assist in the daily support of NetBackup operational activities.
Perform system performance monitoring, problems identification, troubleshooting, failure recovery and proactive maintenance.
Participate in incident, problem, change and release management processes.
Compile regular statistics reports on Availability, Performance and Utilization for management review.
Drive continual improvments to meet & exceed the SLA.
Produce and maintain proper documentation.
Participate in and contribute to technical knowledge sharings and discussions as required.
Requirements:
Degree in IT or Computer Science
Min 3 years working experience in a similiar capacity
Ceritified and technically sound in Solaris 8, 9 or 10 and/or AIX 5 or 6.
Working experience in supporting & managing Solaris, AIX and NetBackup in a large Data Center
Experienced in handling NetBackup operations.
Familiar with SAN storage and ITIL.
Experience in supporting ERP solutions such as SAP, BaaN or Infimacs will be preferred
