Responsibilities:

  • 1. Develop automatic or semi-automatic solution to replace some of the existing manual assembly processes.
  • 2. Provide technical support to ME, NPI and production team to enhance manufacturability and assembly while minimizing costs.
  • 3. Plan and oversee technical projects in the design and development of automatic or semi-automatic assembly equipments or jigs and fixtures.
  • 4. Assess vendor capabilities where their services are needed and make recommendations to management.
  • 5. Review recommendations for materials, equipment, and supplies required for completion of projects.
  • 6. Develop system for tracking and retaining of design documentation.

Requirements:

  • 1. Minimum 3 years experience as automation engineer designing automated or semi-automated solution.
  • 2. Familiar with mechanical and pneumatic system design
  • 3. Demonstrated capability in bringing from concept designing, prototyping to implementation of automated or semi-automated system
  • 4. Familiar and had hands on experience with DFMEA methodology.
  • 5. Experience with fabrication processes and their pros and cons is an added advantage.
  • 6. Had hands on experience with PLC programming.
  • 7. Had hands on experience with the use of Pore or others 3D CAD software.
  • 8.Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree
  • 9. Minimum Years Of Experience: 3
