Incoming Quality Engineer
(Bukit Raja - Shah Alam)

Responsibility:

  • To conduct necessary training including on-the-job-training that not covered by the Training Department for IQC personnel. Further to ensure that they are equipped with all the necessary inspection/testing tools and equipment,and knowledge required for inspections. All measuring and test equipment used for acceptance are calibrated and maintained accordingly.
  • Responsible for general administration e.g. manpower status,attendance,records maintenance,leaves,discipline and etc.
  • To certify and review the incoming and receiving processes so as to ensure conformance to the quality system or customer specified requirements. Further to initiate and coordinate meeting with affected department for system improvements.
  • To develop,review and updates incoming inspection procedures,practices,and ensure that they are implemented effectively by the IQC personnel. Further guides them in the interpretation of customer incoming quality plan,inspection methodology and components’ specifications.
  • To conduct MRB meeting with Purchasing or Sourcing,Production,Engineering,Quality Engineering as necessary to review the non-conforming components for Incoming MRB disposition. Responsible to report non-conforming material and Weekly MRB status to Purchasing,Sourcing,PM and top management. He / She is authorized to escalate any unresolved quality issues to the management for resolution.
  • Responsible to ensure that all the required periodic quality reports e.g. daily,weekly or monthly are compiled accurately and timely for distribution.
  • Responsible to confirm all NCMs and ensure that all rejected materials raised through IQC inspection form are documented clearly before subjecting to MRB for dispositions.
  • Responsible to ensure the Purge Order had been properly closed.
  • Responsible to motivate and assess subordinates in their job performance and encourage teamwork among the employees of the affected departments. Also he is to maintain good relationship and teamwork spirit with his peers. Always maintain good house keeping practices in the IQC area.

Requirement:

  • Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma or Professional Degree in Engineering (Mechatronic/Electromechanical), Engineering (Electrical/Electronic), Chemistry or equivalent.
  • At least 3 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
  • Preferably specializing in Quality Management - QA or equivalent.
  • Good understanding of metrology, Gauge R & R , Correlation Using Minitab
  • Good understanding of right metrology selection for right measurement
  • Tester & measurement equipment maintenance
  • Experience in IQA inspector training and Making IQA plan
  • Co-ordination with Production process on feedback verification
  • Experience in FAI verification & inspection, PPAP verification & inspection, Supervision of IQA inspector
  • Good understanding of materail flow from store to IQA & Back and MRB management
