Head of HR
Location: Penang, Malaysia (abroad opportunities available)
Job Description:
We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Head of HR to lead our international talent acquisition efforts and cultivate a culture of positivity within our organization. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the sourcing, attraction, and hiring of top talent from around the globe, with a particular emphasis on South East Asia countries where we have offices. Additionally, you will play a vital role in fostering an environment where positivity flourishes, driving employee engagement and organizational success.
Key Responsibilities:
International Candidate Sourcing and Outreach:
- Utilize a variety of channels such as job boards, social media platforms, professional networks, and recruitment agencies to actively source international candidates, focusing on South East Asia countries.
- Develop and implement innovative strategies to attract and engage diverse talent from global markets.
- Build and nurture relationships with international universities, organizations, and industry groups to identify and attract top candidates.
Resume Screening and Evaluation:
- Conduct comprehensive reviews of resumes and applications from international candidates to assess qualifications, skills, and experience.
- Perform thorough screenings to evaluate candidates' fit for specific roles and alignment with organizational culture.
- Ensure compliance with immigration laws and work permit regulations when considering overseas candidates.
Interview Coordination and Assessment:
- Coordinate seamless interviews between international candidates and hiring managers, accommodating time zone differences.
- Provide guidance and support to candidates throughout the interview process, addressing logistical or cultural concerns as needed.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to assess candidates' technical competencies, language proficiency, and cultural fit.
Candidate Engagement and Experience:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for international candidates, delivering timely communication and feedback.
- Foster a positive candidate experience by promoting open communication, transparency, and empathy.
- Organize virtual tours, informational sessions, and cultural orientation activities to facilitate the integration of international candidates into the organization.
Positivity and Culture Building:
- Lead by example and champion a positive mindset and attitude in all interactions with candidates, colleagues, and stakeholders.
- Cultivate a culture of positivity and enthusiasm throughout the organization through your actions, demeanor, and communication.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop initiatives that promote a supportive and inclusive work environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in HR or Talent Acquisition roles, with a focus on international recruitment.
- Proven expertise in international recruitment, particularly in sourcing candidates from South East Asia countries.
- Thorough understanding of immigration laws, work permit regulations, and cultural considerations in international recruitment.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with candidates and stakeholders from diverse cultural backgrounds.
- Proficiency in utilizing applicant tracking systems (ATS) and other recruitment tools to manage international candidate pipelines.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain a positive mindset and attitude, fostering a culture of optimism and resilience within the organization.
