Key Responsibilities:

To translate the given wholesale/corporate credit risk data mart requirements (of internal and external stakeholders), into the setting up of a corporate credit risk data mart to produce ad-hoc and periodical information in relation to the corporate credit risk exposures.

 

To design the corporate credit risk mart which provide an automated manner of seamless end to end flow of data extraction/data capturing (manual files), based on the technical specification.

 

To supervise and guide team members on :

  • Data Sourcing: refers to the activities of sourcing of the required data, by engaging the relevant business units or functional units to identify the appropriate data source, thereafter undertake data mapping exercise and submit the required IT request to retrieve such required info; in the event electronic data is not available to establish a manual data capture and maintenance process to consistently and accurately capturing such data pending possible system enhancement to capture and maintain such information in the system.
  • Data Check: refers to the activities of analyzing and detecting possible data anomalies of the retrieved data at the relevant records/summary level, and also to perform data summary check against known reports (consistency check), prior to any form of data massaging and aggregation.
  • Data Aggregation: refers to the activities of integrating various data sources by building relevant data handling and aggregation programs in accordance to the final report requirement, and thereafter populate the massage data in the final required structured form and reports,
  • Data Mart: refers to the activities of documenting the finalized data definitions and the process involved, facilitate internal and external audit or review on the data reporting process.
  • Data Analysis: refers to the activities of analyze the data from relevant dimension or perspective to identify potential risk areas.

 

Requirement :

1) At least 10 years’ experience in areas of system analyst / business analyst / MIS / reporting of a financial institution, related to any of the following areas :

  • Regulatory reporting related to credit exposures (e.g. Risk Weighted Capital Adequacy Framework),
  • Credit impairment/pre-impairment of non-retail exposures, including treasury and global markets exposures,
  • Credit portfolio with different dimensions/segmentation, with relevant slice and dice or drill down that facilitate credit profiling effectively, and/or
  • Counterparty groups or conglomerate groups reporting (e.g. SCEL).

2 ) Experience in design, develop and maintain a fully operational credit risk reporting data mart for a period of time.

3) Knowledgeable on non-retail credit risk data and definitions, including treasury and global markets credit risk data and its definitions.

4) Knowledgeable on data mapping exercise.

5) Knowledgeable on translating credit risk requirement into technical specification for IT/vendor to provide the required data in the process of developing reporting data mart.

6) Knowledgeable on detection of data quality or data anomalies, and able to execute relevant measures in addressing the detected issues.

7) Knowledgeable on combining online and manual data, structured and unstructured data, into an organized and efficient corporate credit data mart.

8) Good command of the English language.
