Incorporated in 1962, Tasek Corporation Berhad (a member of Hong Leong Asia Ltd., Singapore) is one of the oldest integrated cement plant in Malaysia and commenced cement production in Ipoh, Perak in 1964 as Tasek Cement Limited. The annual rated production capacity was 250,000 tonnes before expanded the rated capacity to produce up to 2.3 million tonnes of clinker production per year.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • To establish, maintain and improve the Maintenance Planning and Scheduling using CMMS
  • To participate in the preparation and review of maintenance plans, with maintenance and operations teams, identifying frequency of services, standard tasks and associated resources (materials, tools, support equipment).
  • Ensure accuracy in data entry and records for breakdown information, actual works carried out, actual labor and tools usage into CMMS system pertaining to machine/ equipment of the plant.
  • Gather and organise plant machinery and equipment information for data input into CMMS.
  • Develop cost and time estimates for each planned maintenance work.
  • Responsible for up-keep and accuracy of equipment maintenance history, job records database and technical information on processes, plant and equipment.
  • Continually improving planning, scheduling, data management and job reporting systems to increase planning effectiveness and efficiency.

 

Requirement

  • Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
  • Minimum 2 years experience in maintenance or implementing and sustaining Preventive Maintenance program
  • Well verse in maintenance process and activities
  • Those with experience in CMMS system will have added advantages
  • Excellent in communication and interpersonal skills

Cement is produced at the Company's plant in Ipoh which operates 24 hours a day. Cement is then transported by road or rail direct to the users. Cement is also sent to its packing and distribution terminal at Sungai Buloh for storage, packing and channelling to strategic distribution centres and to users in the Central and Southern regions. Tasek is also an active member of the Cement and Concrete Association of Malaysia or the C&CA, contributing to defining the direction and growth of cement manufacturers in Malaysia.
