Qualifications & experience
- At least a Diploma in Occupational Safety / Health / Environment Management
- At least 2 years of working experience preferably in manufacturing industry.
- Familiar with OSHA regulations, knowledge in ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 9001:2015 will be an added-advantage.
- Certification as a Safety and Health Officer (Green Book) and Certified EMS internal Auditor will be an added advantaged.
- Excellent communication skills with ability to present and explain safety & health topics.
- Team player with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Tasks & responsibilities
- Hazard Identification and Control: Identify hazards, assess risks, and implement control measures; ensure company compliance with Safety Management System; conduct regular safety inspections and audits.
- Safety Compliance and Reporting: Ensure compliance with local regulations and company standards; prepare and submit various safety reports and statistics; liaise with government agencies on HSE matters
- Policy and Procedure Development: Assist in developing, implement, and update HSE policies and procedures; maintain accurate records of safety activities; generate and revise SOPs and Emergency Response Plans.
- Training and Awareness: Assist in organizing and conducting safety and health training sessions; promote safety culture; coordinate Emergency Response Team (ERT) training. This may require candidates to attend to client sites.
- Environmental Management: Assist in the management of scheduled waste arrangements; conduct environmental monitoring and audits; coordinate pollution control and recycling programs.
- Ongoing Safety Programs: Conduct monthly HSE inspections/audits; support OSHAS and EMS programs; ensure annual maintenance and inspections for fire systems and machinery permits.
- Any other ad hoc tasks assigned from time to time
