Key Responsibilities
Project Installation / Supervision
- Fabricate and install Big Dutchman equipment according to company standards and customer specifications, ensuring correct installation of all components including cage-related systems
- Conduct rigorous quality inspections throughout the installation process and perform comprehensive test runs with Electrical supervisor and contractor
- Coordinate site readiness with farm decision-makers, plan manpower, and monitor project timelines to ensure completion within the timeframe
- Manage on-site equipment storage and handling as per company guidelines
- Facilitate smooth project handovers to clients, verifying all installations meet Big Dutchman's standards, and introducing the company's preventive maintenance service
- Submit detailed, timely reports (including site photos and progress updates) and complete all required project documentation according to Big Dutchman's protocols
- Process and follow up on parts claims, ensuring timely arrival and installation of claimed parts while maintaining Big Dutchman's quality standards
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain Big Dutchman equipment to ensure continuous operation, following company specifications
- Document all service activities, including repair reports, maintenance logs, and equipment performance data
- Provide technical support to customers on equipment operation and basic maintenance, identifying and reporting recurring issues or potential improvements
- Undertake ad-hoc duties as assigned by management
Skills / Requirements
- Certificate or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field
- Minimum 2 years of experience in quality control, equipment installation, or relevant technical role
- Proficiency in reading technical drawings and manuals
- Ability to write basic reports in English
- Computer literacy (MS Office, particularly Excel and Word)
- Fluent in English; proficiency in Mandarin is a plus
- Willing to travel extensively including to rural areas
- Able to work in various environmental conditions (farms, construction sites)
- Physically fit to handle equipment and tools
- Strong work ethic and ability to work independently
- Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Open-minded and adaptable, with a willingness to embrace new ideas for ongoing improvement
