Job Description
Reporting into the Learning Design Manager, as an Associate Learning Designer, you will support the LD Team in unit/course/program development.
You will have a background in education (preferably with experience in online education) and will have knowledge (and, preferably, the application) of the pedagogical theories.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Quality and Process
You will be responsible for supporting the LD Team in designing, delivering, monitoring and evaluating unit/course/program-level specifics in consultation and collaboration with the following stakeholders:
- Director and Associate Director of Learning Design
- Senior Learning Designers
- Keypath divisions (e.g. Student Support, Student Enrolment and Marketing teams)
You will bring your educational experience to the role to contribute to the team’s drive to deliver world class learning experiences. You will demonstrate great attention to detail, be process-driven and organised.
Stakeholder management
As a member of the LD Team, you will build relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, and:
- be accountable for process and quality expectations;
- ensure all relevant parties are updated and informed;
- be involved in cross-functional collaboration and ensure adherence to process and expectations.
Continuous improvement and innovation
Working with the LD Team, you will look for opportunities to improve student needs, retention and outcomes via the following:
- Becoming cognisant of the effectiveness of quality standards, process and outcomes.
- Involving yourself in networks (e.g. Partner, SSA, SEA and Marketing teams) to create feedback channels
- Applying a solutions-focused response to issues and problems in a timely and appropriate manner
- Champion, propose, apply and evaluate new approaches, ways of thinking and tools that will positively impact student needs, retention and outcomes.
Qualifications
Qualifications
Background in higher education (preferably with experience in online education)
- Be comfortable with learning coding, specifically HTML and Markdown, which are used in our LMS and CMS systems
- Have knowledge (and, preferably, demonstrated the application) of pedagogical theories
- Be the type that thrives on creative challenge and seeks the highest standards of quality
- Be a self-starter who can work successfully independently, as well as in the team
- Build strong and beneficial relationships with your stakeholders
- Demonstrate high-level attention to detail
- Be process-driven and organised
