Job Description

  • Should have a good understanding of SMEC’s standard proposal pricing approach.
  • Assist in opportunity assessment preparations, BMS compliance requirements forms and creating opportunity codes.
  • Assist in tracking and identifying current opportunities from IFI, local client sites, and other opportunity-search portals on a day-to-day basis and updating the list on a weekly basis to be submitted to SMEC stakeholders at the end of each month.
  • Assist the Regional Director and Regional Managers on assigned opportunities. This includes assisting in in opportunity assessment preparations, BMS compliance requirements forms and creating opportunity codes.
  • Any other duties as assigned by Regional Director (Energy).
  • Assist Project Directors, Project Managers and Coordinators on Project Compliance documentation to SEA and Pacific projects, as needed.
  • Collaborate with appropriate team members, contributors and stakeholders to maintain quality, timeliness and co-ordination of project deliverables.
  • Support PMs and OMs in the corporate and administrative aspects of regional management.
  • May assist in setting up new projects in this region in consultation with the Regional Director and Regional Managers. This may include, but not limited to, physical arrangement with respect to housing, accommodation, travel of staff, logistics, office equipment, etc.
  • Proficiency with the company’s financial systems, processes, and procedures.
  • Assist in the preparation or review of all contracts with staff working for local and regional projects.
  • Support other Project Managers in preparation of sub consultancy and joint-venture agreements as may be applicable with associates and JV partners
  • Collaborate with appropriate team members, contributors and stakeholders to maintain quality, timeliness and co-ordination of project deliverables.
  • Any other relevant duties as assigned by the Regional Director (Energy).

Job Specification

  • Minimum Diploma in business administration, management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of three years of practical experience in general operations, project management and business development.
  • Experience in Multinational Engineering industry is an advantage
  • High level communication skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Office
  • Ability to write effectively in English to furnish reports and to prepare business development materials including presentation slides and proposals.
  • Ability to plan for and keep track of multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Willingness to continue building skills through educational opportunities
  • Location: Mid Valley, Kuala Lumpur
