Job Description
We are looking for 2 interns to join our QA department which will provide you the unique opportunities for learning outside the academic settings. It can expose you to new tasks and help you learn goal-specific skills along the way.
A) Document Control and Food Safety Coordinator Intern
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Maintain and organize food safety and quality documents (SOPs, policies, manuals, records).
- Ensure proper creation, review, approval, and distribution of documents.
- Track document revisions and ensure updated versions are accessible.
- Support audits by providing necessary documents.
- Train employees on document control procedures.
- Assist in implementing and maintaining food safety systems (HACCP, GMP, FSSC 22000, Halal).
- Monitor compliance with food safety policies and regulations.
- Support food safety audits and inspections.
- Maintain records and assist in sampling, testing, and reporting for food safety programs.
- Help conduct food safety training for employees.
B) Micro Lab Intern
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Assist in microbiological and physical testing of finished goods, raw materials, and in-process samples.
- Conduct sampling and sample preparation for various laboratory analyses.
- Operate and maintain laboratory testing equipment under supervision.
- Assist in conducting Salmonella testing and other microbiological analyses.
- Document and report test results accurately while ensuring compliance with standard operating procedures.
- Support the team in sensory analysis by preparing and documenting sensory samples.
- Participate in quality control procedures related to cocoa bean testing, including size, quality, and purity assessments.
- Follow laboratory safety guidelines and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Assist in maintaining laboratory cleanliness and proper handling of testing materials.
- Collaborate with team members to identify and suggest improvements in lab procedures.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Quality Management, or a related field
- Basic understanding of laboratory safety and testing procedures.
- Knowledge of HACCP, GMP, FSSC 22000, Halal or other food safety management systems.
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
- Proficiency in document management soware and Microso Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong communication skills to interact with cross-functional teams.
