Senior Finance Manager / Financial Controller

The Senior Finance Manager / Financial Controller is a key financial leader responsible for managing accounting, financial reporting, compliance, and strategic planning. As a financial steward, the role ensures smooth day-to-day finance operations, drives financial performance, and provides insights to support management decision-making. Acting as a business partner, the role translates financial data into actionable business strategies while ensuring internal controls, risk management, and governance compliance. Additionally, this role is critical in bridging senior management and operational teams, ensuring alignment between financial goals and business objectives.

Job Description:

• Develop and manage financial strategies, forecasts, and budgets to align with business goals.
• Ensure accurate and timely month-end, quarterly, and year-end financial closing, statutory reporting, and adherence to regulatory requirements.
• Implement internal controls, assess financial risks, and ensure compliance with corporate governance and financial regulations.
• Monitor operational cash flow, prepare cash flow statements, and drive cost analysis and variance reporting.
• Act as a financial advisor to management, translating financial data into actionable business insights.
• Lead finance process improvements, automation initiatives, and ERP system enhancements for operational efficiency.
• Liaise with auditors, tax agents, banks, investors, government agencies, and senior leadership on financial matters.
• Oversee financial and sustainability reporting, ensuring transparency and compliance with investor and regulatory expectations.
• Mentor and lead the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and capability building.
• Optimize resource allocation, support capital-raising initiatives, and ensure sustainable business growth.
• Redesign core business processes to improve productivity, efficiency, and financial performance.
• Promote an ethical corporate culture, ensuring financial decisions align with integrity and compliance standards.
• Utilize predictive analytics and stress testing to forecast business performance and identify potential risks.
• Bridge financial objectives with operational teams to drive business efficiency and profitability.
• Support management in financial communications with investors, board members, and external stakeholders.

Requirements:

• Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or equivalent qualification.
• 10+ years of experience in accounting and financial management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. (Manufacturing experience is a plus)
• Professional certification such as CPA or CMA is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of statutory requirements, financial reporting standards, and corporate finance best practices.
• Hands-on experience in full set of accounts and financial controls.
• Expertise in ERP systems (Navision experience is a plus).
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to interact with senior stakeholders.
• Strong leadership skills with experience managing a finance team.
• High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently, meet tight deadlines, and adapt to a fast-growing global company.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and another language is an advantage.
