Equipment Maintenance Junior Technician or Fresh Graduated

About the role

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Welcome Trainee / Senior / Junior Kitchen Equipment Maintenance Technician to join Vacuum Master Sdn Bhd in Kuala Lumpur. This is a full-time position based on-site, where you will play a crucial role in ensuring that all kitchen equipment operates efficiently and safely. You will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and servicing of various commercial kitchen appliances, contributing directly to the smooth operation of our clients' facilities and the safety of end users. This role is essential to maintaining our reputation for excellence in equipment maintenance services.

Key responsibilities

1. Perform routine maintenance and preventative servicing on commercial kitchen equipment, includingI Ice Maker, Dish Washer , Vacuum Pack

2. Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment faults using appropriate testing equipment and diagnostic tools

3. Repair or replace faulty components, parts, and assemblies to restore equipment to full working order

4. Conduct thorough safety inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with relevant health and safety regulations

5. Maintain detailed records of all maintenance work performed, including parts used, time spent, and any recommendations for further action

6. Respond promptly to emergency service calls and provide on-site support to minimise downtime for clients

7. Communicate effectively with clients to explain maintenance findings, repair requirements, and any recommendations for equipment upgrades or replacements

8. Keep up-to-date with industry standards and best practices in kitchen equipment maintenance

9. Maintain a clean and organised work environment, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored and maintained

What we're looking for

1. Proven experience as a kitchen equipment technician or similar maintenance role within the commercial kitchen industry

2. Strong technical knowledge of commercial kitchen appliances and their operation

3. Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment and mechanical repair tools

4. Excellent problem-solving abilities with the capacity to diagnose complex equipment issues efficiently

5. A solid understanding of health and safety regulations relevant to commercial kitchens and food service environments

6. Ability to work independently whilst also collaborating effectively with team members

7. Valid driving licence and willingness to travel to client sites across Kuala Lumpur

8. Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical information clearly to clients

9. Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of workmanship

10. Relevant technical qualifications or certifications in refrigeration, electrical systems, or appliance repair are highly desirable
