About the role

PENAWAR PD GLOBAL HEALTHCARE is seeking an experienced and compassionate Speech Therapist to join our dedicated healthcare team. This is a full-time position based in Bandar Baru Bangi, Selangor. As a Speech Therapist, you will play a vital role in managing and person in charge, assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients with speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders. This position is strategically important to our organisation as we continue to expand our commitment to providing comprehensive rehabilitation and therapeutic services to our diverse patient population.

• Key responsibilities
  
  

• Becomes Manager and Person In Charge for the Child Rehabilitation Centre, Manage staffs, Occupational Therapist and Speech Therapist, Individualized Education Programs (IEP) sessions and manage parent concern in a team and individualized treatment for the child.

• To follow and conduct all the rules and regulation needed in operating an Rehabilitation centre .

• Develop individualised treatment plans based on assessment findings and patients' specific needs and goals

• Deliver evidence-based speech and language therapy interventions to patients of various age groups, including children and adults

• To Manage Monitoring and document patient progress, conduct parent meetings and adjusting treatment strategies as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes

• Maintain accurate and detailed clinical records and documentation in accordance with healthcare regulations and organisational standards with the help of the clinics and Drs/

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams, including Doctors and physicians, occupational therapists, speech therapist and other medical professionals to provide integrated patient care

• Communicate with patients and their families regarding treatment plans, progress, and recommendations for ongoing care

• Stay current with developments in speech therapy practice and participate in ongoing professional development and training

• Provide education and training to patients, families, and caregivers on therapeutic techniques and strategies to support treatment goals

• Have Experienced in all to Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical protocols and best practice guidelines within the organisation

What we're looking for

• A recognised qualification in Speech Therapy, Speech-Language Pathology, or a related discipline from an accredited institution or well proven centre

• Registration as a Speech Therapist, where applicable in Malaysia

• Minimum 2-3 years or more of clinical experience in speech therapy rehabilitation, preferably in a healthcare setting with the help of clinics

• Demonstrated proficiency in conducting speech and language assessments using standardised tools and techniques

• Strong personality and management of speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders across the lifespan

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients from diverse backgrounds

• Ability to manage and work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment in centre.

• Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple cases and priorities

• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to professional ethics and standards

• Proficiency in Malay and English is essential; additional languages are advantageous

• Preferred experience working with paediatric and/or adult populations with various communication disorders
