- Regularly reviewing and updating procedures and documentation related to maintenance processes.
- Developing and implementing training for the maintenance team to improve skill sets and keep up-to-date with industry changes.
How to become a Chargeman
Certification and experience in industrial and manufacturing settings are essential for the role. Years of tenure as senior factory staff and a degree are preferred.
- Consider getting a bachelor degree in supply chain, electrical or civil engineering.
- Gain at least 1 year of factory experience in construction, engineering or manufacturing through internships and entry-level jobs before certification.
- Obtain a Certificate of Competency as a Chargeman or Certificate in Electrical Chargeman.
