How to become a Consultant
To become a Consultant in Malaysia, you must focus on developing a specialised skill set and knowledge. Some clients or employers may prefer particular certifications and qualifications, which may vary depending on the field and nature of consultancy work.
Obtain a bachelor degree that is related to the field where you plan to consult in. For example, if you want to be a management consultant, look into programmes such as business administration or management. If you want to be a financial consultant, a degree in finance, actuarial science, accountancy, or economics would be preferred.
Obtain a masters degree in your chosen field. While this is not a hard requirement to become a Consultant, many organisations prefer higher educational degrees for certain high-level types of Consultancy.
