How to become a Data Scientist
Becoming a Data Scientist requires a strong understanding of maths and statistics that can be learned by studying a degree. Some employers prefer candidates who have programming skills.
- 1.Complete a degree in maths, statistics or computer science. Studying these courses provides strong foundation skills to be able to work with large data sets and interpret them.
- 2.Study a programming language. With large data sets requiring software to handle processing, an understanding of coding in popular programming languages such as Java, Python and SQL is beneficial.
- 3.Progress your career as a Data Scientist through industry certifications or by studying a masters degree, such as a Master of Business Administration.
