- Creating and maintaining good relationships with clients to encourage a long-term working relationship.
How to become a Financial Consultant
To become a Financial Consultant, obtaining a relevant degree in finance or a related field is crucial for gaining the necessary knowledge and skills.
- 1.Consider obtaining a bachelor’s degree in finance, banking, economics, business administration, or any specialized finance-related field. Courses in areas such as risk management can also be beneficial for developing specific expertise in your chosen field.
- 2.Gain professional certifications such as CFP (Certified Financial Planner) or CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) to enhance your credibility and expertise in financial consulting.
- 3.Acquire practical experience by working in financial institutions, investment firms, or related industries to develop hands-on skills and industry insights.
- 4.Register with the Securities Commission Malaysia (SC) and obtain necessary licenses, such as the Capital Markets Services Representative’s License (CMSRL), to legally practice as a financial consultant.
