What's it like to be a Human Resources Administrator?
Human Resources Administrators focus on organising and managing the individuals who make up a company or organisation. Their responsibilities often include recruiting and hiring new staff, arranging staff training, managing employee benefits and pay, and resolving any issues between staff or between staff and management. A Human Resources Administrator may work in a variety of settings, including corporate offices, small businesses, public sector organisations, or non-profit groups.
Tasks and duties
- Maintaining employee records and handling HR-related paperwork.
- Helping with the recruitment process by posting job openings, reviewing resumes, and scheduling interviews.
- Providing administrative support for HR directors and managers.
- Responding to internal and external HR related enquiries or requests.
- Coordinating HR projects, meetings and training seminars.
- Ensuring compliance with labour laws.
How to become a Human Resources Administrator
A diploma is the typical minimum requirement for this role. Previous experience in administration and proficiency in Microsoft applications is advantageous.

- 2.Consider getting a bachelor degree in human resources, business administration, psychology or another related field.
- 3.Gain experience through internships and project-based work.
