How to become an Industrial Engineer
Industrial Engineers need at least a bachelor degree. On top of this, some jobs may also require a Professional Engineering Licence.
- 1.Complete a bachelor degree in industrial engineering. This is a four-year program that includes compulsory industrial training for a minimum of two months. The Engineering Accreditation Council Malaysia does not accredit programs with only three years of study.
- 2.Register with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) as a Graduate Engineer. You need this certification to practise engineering in Malaysia. If you studied industrial engineering overseas, you can register for a Graduate Engineer certification as long as you hold a Washington Accord-accredited degree.
