What's it like to be an IT Support Engineer?
An Information Technology Support Engineer—or IT Support Engineer or Technical Support Engineer—provides technical support to clients, customers, or employees in person or remotely. They research, diagnose, and solve systems issues to ensure the smooth use of hardware or software products. An IT Support Engineer also communicates with the clients via call, email, or chat applications to identify IT issues and provide concrete instructions to solve them on the client’s end. They may also be tasked to perform product tests, conduct training for internal use, and assist other teams, like sales.

How to become an IT Support Engineer
Experience in network software, programming languages, operating systems, and configuration management systems is required to work as an IT Support Engineer, though employer requirements will vary.
