Java Developers are computer programmers who create and manage applications using the Java language. They solve client problems by building and maintaining applications which integrate with existing computer systems.Tasks and duties
- Collaborating with other software developers and engineers.
- Studying problems and developing solutions using the Java language.
- Testing software to determine risks and gaps.
- Integrating solutions with existing systems.
- Conducting software analysis and debugging.
- Documenting the development process.
- Developing assistance tools for end-users.
How to become a Java Developer
You will need Java certification to become a Java Developer.
- 1.Get a certificate or diploma in computer programming. You can take a four-year course in computer science or computer engineering at colleges and universities, or obtain a certificate in computer programming by taking a short-course.
- 2.Specialise in Java by taking short courses. Additional certification in Java is needed to be hired as a Java Developer.
- 3.Apply for an entry-level position as Junior Java Developer.
- 4.Gain experience. In one or two years, you can be promoted to Senior Java Developer.
- 5.Further experience and improved skills will allow you to take on the role of Lead Java Developer.
