Management Information Systems Manager

Tasks and duties

• Overseeing the IT department and managing its team of IT specialists.
• Training existing and new IT professionals, such as support specialists, IT analysts and technicians, and network engineers.
• Managing the company’s regular hardware and software installations and upgrades.
• Developing and managing the organisation’s private intranet and public internet sites.
• Managing and assessing the IT department budget allocated for hardware or system upgrades.
• Regularly auditing information systems to identify problem areas or areas that need improvement.
• Helping to plan and design technologies based on an organisation’s growing needs.
• Scheduling periodical computer system updates.
• Evaluating and implementing high-level cybersecurity measures.
• Implementing new business technologies or software to improve the organisation’s systems.
