They repeatedly use test scripts and test codes to test any software issues before it passes all quality control checks. They also develop systems involved in quality assurance.
Tasks and duties
- Reviewing a product’s technical requirements, design, and specifications.
- Creating automation test scripts and test codes for software tests.
- Analysing test results and reporting these to relevant stakeholders.
- Developing new and improved test systems and processes for products and software.
- Coordinate with product design teams on test updates.
- Staying updated on new testing technologies and methodologies.
How to become a Quality Assurance Engineer
To become a Quality Assurance Engineer, you usually need a bachelor degree in information technology, computer information systems, computer science or a related field.
