    The challengesA legacy-driven environment where long-serving staff are deeply entrenched in old ways of working, showing resistance to new ideas and market realities. An environment where superior/leadership are quick to assign blame but slow to take accountability, leaving subordinates to absorb the fallout of poor decisions.

    Toxic working environment - avoid if legacy management from 2023 is still thereSpecific to ANI - Good perks and benefits, but very bad and toxic environment dependent on the team and department. Career growth is there if you "brown nose" your superiors, otherwise no progress as there is a lot of favourtism.

    Sometimes good sometimes not so well
    The good thingsThe flexibility offered to employees was beyond expectation. Not micromanage management. No clock in clock out system. The management trust the employees very well but you need to expect that your boss will find you after working hours as well. For me, its a win-win situation for both. They have very good support from corporate teams. The documentation is very systematic where one document for all plants and you can integrate the document to comply to local laws. The environment is very good as well. Very clean. You will have your own cubicle. Pantry at each office area with coffee machine. Spacious parking space for all employees.
    The challengesSometimes the workload is unbearable with short of headcounts. The people here sometimes like to 'Taichi' work. Management sometimes have very high expectations. They want to know the problems is settled, not even want to know the root cause or roadblock.

    The good thingsGreat allowances, nice supervisor and not hectic jobs. Can learn from both engineers and operators about anything, they surely help!

    Work life balance at its best
    The good thingsAbbott has a fantastic culture. Being in the industry of saving lives, everyone here works hard to deliver their individual best, but at the same time everyone is given many opportunities to have fun. This is one place where the term "employee engagement" actually means something.
    The challengesIt is more of a personal challenge for me, coming from a very different industry & into the medical industry. Rest assured, i have multiple resources at my disposal to help me get accustomed to the Abbott way of doing things.

    The good thingsThe thing that got me hooked onto this company is the people over here. The culture integrated in Abbott Penang starts from the top, where key principles such as leading with humility is observed. Although starting at the bottom, I do not feel like I was treated in such a way, but rather all of my peers treated me as an equal. There is also a lot of opportunities to learn over here, and this is a key development aspect that matches my interest.
    The challengesThe challenges come from the nature of Abbott Penang being a medical device company. The regulatory process for the products are lengthy, which make new changes to come for difficult. However, this is actually a great thing too because we highly prioritize validating our products in the highest form of quality. We ensure that all products are built with the utmost quality with this practice.

    The good thingsThis company provides good healthy environment such as practicing giving recognition to others, and come out with good modules to practice by all employees. Other than that, the benefits here are good as well. People here does not bother much about hierarchy especially the Director.
    The challengesChallenges of working here for someone whom from company with a very manual system to a systemized system, you might encounter some challenges to learn lots of systems used here but once familiarized with the system, everything will be good. No worries!
