    GROWING EXPERIENCE
    The good thingsI enjoyed the benefits that the company gave. I also appreciate the independence that they gave to employees like me to develop. Although I never had any mentor to help me, I learned through the experience and efforts of doing research and references from my mentors 'outside' of ACT.
    The challengesDoing your job with no guidance, being independent and fighting for what's right made me confident of what I am capable. Ten years being in a company that did not believe in training and developing your own abilities and knowledge is definitely a challenge. But one thing that made me happy is that the management never stopped me from self development.

    The good thingsThere is no limit to your design creativity. It is all up to you to design and follow through fabrication and final assembly. You have full control of your design. The facilities is fully air-conditioned, to make your working environment very conducive. Working colleagues are very supportive in their respective areas of expertise.
    The challengesWe do not have opportunity and thus we do not learn much technically by staying put with this company. Far as can remember, have never been to any technical and design related training or seminar to improve our technical and design skills. Never been to machine shows as well, to expand our ideas by looking at other machine design. Never known technical design tools such as DFA, DFM, GD&T, FMEA....
