Pros and cons - know what you're looking forThe good thingsThe working environment is pretty decent. Lawyers have secretaries to do admin and also other filing tasks for the lawyers. Career development wise - it will depend on what kind of projects the firm gets on a year-to-year basis. Some years, we get more variety, some years, almost the same kind of projects. A lot of opportunities to be hands on if you put yourself out more.
The challengesSomewhat poor management of the team. My main issue is that there is no fixed team in a project, as the partners would often take out members from a project at will without really discussing with the current members. Delegating is almost impossible when you're the only one in the project. Salary is very much partners' discretion. Work life balance is something to compromise here
