A rewarding 5 years journey filled with growth, learning & meaningful contributions to AIU.
The good thingsWorking at Albukhary International University was an incredibly rewarding experience. I was fortunate to be part of the early team during the university’s establishment, which allowed me to gain hands-on exposure to various operational areas and understand the foundation of building an institution from the ground up. One of the most valuable aspects of my time there was the opportunity to serve in multiple departments — from Corporate Communication and Marketing, Student Recruitment, SBSS and Scholarships Unit. Each posting taught me different sets of skills, from strategic planning and event management to student engagement and partnership building. The management team was supportive and visionary, providing room for growth and encouraging initiative. I had the privilege of working alongside dedicated professionals and educators from diverse backgrounds, which made the environment intellectually stimulating and collaborative.
The challengesDuring the early phase of the university’s establishment, many systems and processes were not yet in place, so most tasks had to be done manually. It was a learning curve, but it also provided valuable experience in problem-solving and adaptability. Over time, the university developed efficient systems and improved workflows, which made operations much smoother. The only consistent challenge I faced was managing online scholarship interviews across different time zones, which required careful coordination and flexibility. Other than that, the overall experience was positive, and I appreciated how the institution continuously evolved and improved.

Management Selfish Don't Care About Staff
The good thingsThe place for clean money, make beautiful building. Duit raya only for cronies and non Muslims.
The challengesLow salary, no increment every years, sweet talker management make promise. They ask you wakaf everything's, your time, your money to contribute.

    Low salary with multitask job
The good thingsNot a good company for career growth. The company simply push you to the limit with multitask job without salary adjustment.
The challengesFrequently changes in management does contribute to morale down for staff. Not appreciate the senior staff and simply taking fresh graduate to save cost.

This place is the best place for fresh graduate.
The good thingsI have a great team here.
The challengesWorking in multinational setting and dealing with people from different background are the real challenges. Language barrier make room for communication breakdown. We have to put effort and be creative to achieve our mission.

    Great experience!
The good thingsA diversified environment that helps to broaden one’s perspective and increase level of tolerance. State of the art infrastructure/facilities that makes one eager to go to work every morning. If there was ever ‘The perfect place’ to learn and develop one’s career then this place would be the place.
The challengesNot using the diversity as the number one asset of the company. Not realising that the people factor is extremely important.

Great working experiences with International group of management.
The good thingsThe employer has the respect to all the staffs and we work in harmony. What I like most is the value created by the name of Adap, Akhlaq, Amanah, Amalan and Aqidah, where all this nice value is embedded in everyone in this organisation either in the working scenario or when they are outside. What I can conclude, in a nutshell, we are just not working here for money, but also to be a better person in this world and hereafter.
The challengessome of the cultural differences, where it's quite a challenge to everyone and we have to learn to be more patient in all the decision making. Since the company and the senior Board was not from the Education background, I presumed the only way to improve the working environment here is to make them understand about the need and requirement that education organisation must abide by the Law, Rules and Regulation bounded us.

    Perfect place for career development.
The good thingsMeeting people (staff/students) from different countries and backgrounds opens a door to improve my interpersonal and communication skills and also a way to learn about other cultures.
The challengesIt's normal to have a constantly changing schedule since we're currently running short term intensive programmes.
