    My internship provided an overall amazing experience. I had the opportunity to explore two departments—biotechnology and chemistry. I learned and gained valuable laboratory experience during my time there.
    The good things- Extensive hands-on experience gained - Collaborated with friendly and helpful colleagues - Engaged in a wide range of laboratory testing

    Internship in ALS
    The good thingsAs ALS provide few type of chemical testing services. As an intern, i managed to learn quite a lot of things.

    Highly recommended for fresh grads/interns
    The good thingsFriendly coworkers, appreciation of employees, provide necessary resources, listens and makes decision based on overall opinions, well-equipped laboratories.
    The challengesTask distribution may need to be reviewed as some employees may face difficulties in managing a few important task within short period of time, where some task can be given to another employee to handle to ease the burden and also maintaining the quality of the results obtained. Routine maintenance and repairs of machinery should be conducted to maintain the quality of results as well as ensuring the safety of the user.

    Great place to start your career
    The good thingsNice working environment and friendly staffs. Staffs treat interns well with patience and willingness to help. Received allowances. Learnt many new things and the opportunity to perform variety of lab tests and handle advanced technology (under supervision). Gained valuable work experience.
    The challengesNot much challenges as an intern. No cafeteria (only pantry), so you either have to bring your own food or travel/walk to food stalls. Work gets hectic at times (fast-paced environment) but it is manageable and a good experience.

    The good thingsTeam leader was clear with instructions and stern and motivating. Intern was taught assigned different tasks over time, giving massive opportunity to learn different analyses. The whole team was very kind and welcoming, willing to help/explain when able, also nice enough to have a farewell lunch for finishing interns. This might be irrelevant but, also, nice break room.
    The challengesChallenges probably came from time management, especially at times when there were a lot of samples within close deadline.

    The good thingsall the staff give a full cooperation and sharing their knowledge. there's a lot of service provided by this company and at the same time it give a staff experience in conducting all test. for those who are good in their work, they has a opportunity to go on higher position.
    The challengesall the test result is interpreted by machines to give client the accurate and trust result. it's challenges when there has technical problem with machines. a quick reaction and critical thinking is needed to make all the job done smoothly.

    The good thingsThe working environment are clean and safety precautions are taken seriously by workers. The workers are friendly and this is the best place to work as a team with other people from different backgrounds.
    The challengesImprovement and innovation of analysis method. New projects or clients are needed to be entertained properly and ensure that the clients are satisfied with the services provided. However, ALS Technichem (M) are able to handle this systematically.

    A splendid intro to QA industry
    The good thingsEvery details regarding the works to do within this industry is greatly displayed and applied. The works are arranged in orders, at adequate spaces, with good facilities. Work performance is celebrated every month.
    The challengesIt is quite difficult to carry out the lab analysis as the method is irregularly updated. The R&D department should be widened and create numerous new in-house method. The quality standard should also be taught to the employees so that everyone know where are they going. Implementing quality standards knowledge should greatly enhance the company capability to gain positive results.
