Dysfunctional Workplace with Potential Growth. There are so much that can be done !
The good thingsThe benefits offered by the company are better as compared to market standards. Furthermore, there is not much restriction when taking annual leaves. Commercial team members are getting sufficient "spotlights" from the management team which leads to faster promotion pace as compared to market. For employees that are performing under expectation, there is not much actions that will be taken which makes this company a good place for people that does not want to push their limit or accept new knowledge in the market. Basically a good retirement company for Veteran Employees in the company.
The challengesManagement role of the company is being occupied by Veteran Employees in the company which means there is no chance of new blood to climb the corporate ladders. Dysfunctional culture within the organization makes your superior to become your biggest roadblock in your career. Nothing can be done to change the culture or practice in the organization although HR teams has carried out multiple workshops and events with the aim to change the mindset of the management team. Employees which are performing under expectations are kept in the organization which makes other employees to have extra workload. Senior management is not performing but are still using their old time stories to brag among the new joiners. Work life balance culture does not exist as leaving workplace on time means more workloads. Finger pointing and screaming at public area is a norm in the office which creates unnecessary stress at workplace. The organization prefers Yes man rather than discussing about new ideas.

    Working Culture and Environment
The good thingsEmployee benefits and AL
The challengeslack of teamwork and shared ownership across departments. There are also processes that fall outside the department’s core function but are still required to be handled. As these so called “additional tasks” are already defined in the job description, employees have little flexibility to decline or reassign them, even when they may not be directly relevant. This can lead to worker reduced focus on primary responsibilities. In some cases, taking over processes from other departments may create potential conflicts of interest. Additionally, the culture style appears to be highly top-down

If you are looking for growth, new knowledge, or skill development, this is not the right place.
The good things- Easy to apply for leave - Has a canteen and prayer room
The challenges- Job scope more aligned with production line than proper QC role - Supervisor lacks effective organizational and management skills, and does not support staff initiative - Limited communication and coordination from management - There is no involvement in reports or meaningful QC tasks; the work mainly consists of production duties and recording inspection data, with increasing workload over time. - No dedicated workspace for QC - During company events, office staff and production staff are treated differently.

Comfortable workplace but some people of a certain position level can be rather toxic and vexatious.
The good thingsA lot of it depends on your immediate supervisor/boss. In my case, there is limited micromanagement and adequate latitude to do things as you see fit as long as you produce the deliverables within the stipulated deadlines. The Japanese executives in the HQ are considerate, understanding and reasonable when they assign you a set of tasks with deadlines to meet. Some other good things are the freedom to wear smart casual from Mon-Fri. All festive seasons are observed and celebrated with equal (at least effort is made) amount of enthusiasm and atmosphere. Management emphasizes on work-life balance and you're highly encouraged to clock in and clock out sharp. Some leeway can be granted for tardiness and disciplinary action is barely taken against latecomers. Co-workers are generally more of the peace-loving type of people and would try to avoid confrontation as much as possible. At the very least, most of them do mind their own business and barely ask you personal and sensitive questions.
The challengesThe main challenges are manifold. 1) Lack of technology adoption and innovation where the employees are still doing things the conventional way and sees business solutions as non-profitable expenses. 2) Work processes are not clearly defined and that's where the bureaucracy is. The SOP handed down by the Japanese HQ is seldom adhered to due to the nature of our operations but we are not at liberty to define the SOP on our own. 3) Whenever there's a dispute between you and your senior or junior, the HR or management is disinterested to play the reconciliatory role but they expect you to resolve the issues on your own. But there's a certain individual from a certain quarter who adds insult to the injury. 4) The HQ wanted the local management to share with the staff on People-Centered Management to be put into practice which they did not do in reality. On the contrary, there was an incident where some people yelled their lungs out. They were poor problem solvers when a bombshell dropped.

Managers disregarding company policies, displaying arrogance, and showing bias
The good thingsNothing special to comment.
The challengesThe workplace environment is toxic, with certain managers disregarding company policies and procedures while acting as though they know everything. There is also noticeable bias, particularly in terms of choosen circle, which creates an unfair and uncomfortable atmosphere.

Great place to work for fresh graduate.
The good thingsGreat engagement with colleagues from different departments. Helpful colleagues and friendly working environment. It is a good place for a fresh graduate to start to work as you will get yourself familiarized with the working life.
The challengesBoring work assigned by the manager. The seniors will not let you have much expose to the work, so you will have a lot of free time while the others are busy working.

    worklife Balance and Good college
The good things- Good worklife balance (Monday - Friday), 8 am to 5 pm. - Good Job scope and task distribution. (You will not assign a job out of your scope as stated in offer Letter). - Coffee, Milo and Tea provided in office pantry. - Clean toilet and tissue provided. - For me, this company is excellent to start your career.
The challenges- Poor opportunity for career development. You basically do the same thing over and over again. Somehow I feel stress for unknown reasons. Maybe this kind of routine is good for other people, I don't know. Because of this repetition, I become too good and its bored.
