No career growth and appreciation. If you have other options, please do not join Amkor procurement.
The good thingsThe country president is friendly and open-minded.
The challengesPoor management, particularly from the procurement director, who fails to provide direction and bombards employees with numerous questions. Within a year, more than three managers reporting to him have resigned.

    Bad culture of working
The good thingsThere have greats relationship among the employees. They helped and communicate well among others. Benefits given from company still at the best among others near company.
The challengesEmployees are expected to work 24/7. Even during your weekend or 2am your section superior will call you to support if any machine breakdown. Section superior waiting to blame you once if there is any problem happen. There were no solution made for problems but only blaming. Same goes during meeting. Its the time like a bullet to point at someone. Not a healthy place to work.

Stressful workplace yet good place to learn
The good thingsEmployees are perfectly good to each other. They helped and communicate well among others. You can never get colleagues with this support at any company.
The challengesAs for top management, most of the bosses dont know what is going on. They dont know their subordinates work scope, giving other workscope and if they cant perform, evaluation is bad which is not fair at all. Directors and managers are micromanaging.

It's better to not joining this company
The good thingsOnce the new management coming there's no good things in company.
The challengesEmployee was forced to give support 24/7 without allowance and employee will be blamed and receive warning letter if unable to give support on that time. Most of the department not working together (always miscommunication) and blaming each other when have customer issues. Managers also not supporting their team as well.

    Bad culture of working
The good thingsPeople are friend except the management
The challengesBasically a place to see how the bosses trying to find fault of the staffs. They are waiting to blame people once job is incomplete, or if there is any problem with the job. There were no solution made for problems but only blaming. Same goes during meeting. Its the time like a bullet to point at someone. Not a healthy place to work. Maybe HQ needs to see and reorganise the management team. Big mistake for me to change from old job to here.

    No leadership and pinpointing culture
The good thingsFriendly colleague (non managerial position), cheap food
The challengesPint-pointing culture. The managers, senior managers and directors only wait to find your fault. No promotion and bonus was cut. Before joining, they were saying it is a place to grow, looks like they are only growing on negative side. Very sad to see good employee with skills are leaving. Management didn’t recognise employee with knowledge and skill. They dont see people with a real potential instead , hiring people without knowledge at higher level of position.

    Bad management and leadership
The good thingsColleagues and peers are friendly.
The challengesVery bad management. Only think to reduce cost. Doesnt care about employee development. Management can hire people with no experience at higher level. Sadly good knowledge people with good experience are leaving the company due to lack of empathy from the management. Do not dream to have a career development here.

    Poor leadership.
The good thingsNew projects are waiting to be deployed for mass production. The salary is paid at the exact date every month. Active internal training carried by company. Friendly peers in Engineers and Executive levels. Large and reasonable priced canteen food.
The challengesMajority of managers are senior employees of the company. Conservative in terms of manufacturing execution compared to other players in the industry. Only one external training per year since 2015. Not many cheap restaurants around the factory.

    Words without action
The good thingsEnjoy many annual leaves above most SMEs. Has 7 vending machines to take 5 minute break after stressful assignment. On going to have more products from the company. The company started to support internal and external training.
The challengesStagnant mindset. Management resist to change. Living the manufacturing nature as in early 2000s. No engagement from multiple departments for any project. Waiting for problem to arise. Meetings only held after an issue or crisis. Prioritize customers without considering company's and employees' concern.

Always stressful cause the line management only chase for production and no career development for graduate employees
The good things- Have a in-house clinic and panel clinics. - Have a cheap food from cafeteria. - Salary not be late, must on time or earlier. - Good place to work for operators And HR only.
The challenges- Poor management in line always chase for production target and not care about quality. - Bad habits of superior and supervisor cause always shouting in front of all, black mail and never given a respect to downline especially technician and operators. Another bad habits of superior is always given a good percentage of bonus and increments only for who ever he/she like. It's not fair. - No career development for a graduate employees even have a better qualification. - Cut cost, cost down, reducing all the employee benefits one by one. - No flexible hours, always must stand by and support for 24/7 even that day is leave. - Superior always push for coming to OT even in rest day or off day. - Poor bonus and increments. - No leave for public holiday and must come to work. - Limited break time, limited smoking area. But have to work for 12 hours follow by morning shift and night shift.

Best place to learn, worst place to stay
The good thingsLearn alot of things, company is growing and adapting to new system and technologies.
The challengesClueless management especially HR. Cutting cost by removing or reducing employee benefit. Working hours not flexible. Demanded to support 24/7 even though not stated in contract or even in interview. Not fairly compensate for high achievers especially engineers. Rated perfomance of all workers as the same regardless of role, level and department, KPI rating for engineers are the same as production operators.

Unless you looking for factory operator job
The good thingsAmple parking space. Cheap food in cafeteria. Friendly colleague.
The challengesStrict working time. late 1 minute salary deducted. Very poor management. Clueless and chaotic, management tend to micro manage everything. No team work, just person in charge. Your suggestion dont matters to management. Very hierarchical and political. Management dont know what their staff are doing. Employee benefit been retracted bit by bit. Poor bonus although company make huge profit. No innovation and new innovation will be treated as a threat.

    Stressful Work Environment
The good thingsTwo upsides are its location and expenses. Since its location is remote, you can expect less traffic jams. Also it have its own cafeteria that provide cheap food with average quality, no problem with that.
The challenges- No career development. - Previous study/experience is useless. Have to follow exactly what the managers told, even though the instruction is wrong. Otherwise will be ignored. - Most tasks assigned were not in current skill set, but are required to be completed within short period. - Was expected to be available 24/7, even though it has been specified in contract and interview that it will not be the case. - For some reason, management will ignore all good suggestions, even ones with solid justification.
