Hands-On Experience in a Busy and Dynamic Setting

    Supportive Environment & Visionary Leadership
The good thingsThe company provides a friendly and positive working environment — colleagues are helpful and supportive. It also encourages staff to attend seminars and training to upgrade their skills and knowledge. During peak periods, such as half-year and year-end closings, the workload can be stressful, but still manageable. The boss is visionary and looks at the bigger picture. Whenever there’s a problem, he provides clear direction and guidance. I’ve learned not only work-related skills but also valuable knowledge about investment and value investing. My superior is approachable and willing to listen. She discusses and solves problems together with the team. If you need clarification or don’t understand something, she patiently explains. She also monitors your workload and helps to arrange tasks efficiently.
The challengesThe role requires some multitasking and the ability to learn quickly. Sometimes, other departments may rush you for certain tasks. In such cases, you need to communicate clearly and request for some time when you are not available — time management and prioritization are very important in this role.

A great company that encourages learning new skills beyond your job scope.
The good thingsThis workplace places a strong emphasis on work-life integration, enhancing both productivity and personal well-being. Leadership is agile and approachable, creating a fast-paced yet supportive environment. One of the most rewarding aspects is the encouragement to learn beyond the job description—I’ve been able to contribute to cross-functional projects that broadened my skill set. The small team structure enables close collaboration and swift decision-making.
The challengesThe team dynamic could be improved by fostering more inclusive collaboration, as senior staff sometimes unintentionally overshadow junior voices, limiting the exchange of valuable ideas.

    Poor people management
The good thingsGood for shoe polisher. Management only like the staff who agree with the management, you are good if you always agree with management no matter the decision is good or not or wrong.
The challengesIssuing non-conformance reports for minor cases. No growth or any training provided. No motivation at work as the senior staff like to play office politic and turnover is very high.

    A good place to learn
The good thingsYou have to learn on how to learn things as fast as you could and strive to absorb as many knowledges as you could and this is really good especially for freshie who's just getting into working environment. Work-life integration instead of work-life balance means as long as you meet the dateline then you're good. Given a lot of chances to attend webinar and training to improve working skills.
The challengesThis place teaches you on how to learn things on your own most of the time but can always refer to the seniors if you 're stuck

The challengesThe interns are required to work as production workers. Nothing can learn from the company or colleagues but everyday do the repack of samples and shreds recycle paper. Very bad working environment , air cond leaking / not working , old machines are using in the production. Long working hours, and everyday stay back.

    POOR AND MICRO MANAGE MANAGEMENT
The good thingsNothing good to comment
The challengesMicro management. The management require all the staff to write daily task performed into DingTalk daily log and also require the staff to read others colleague daily log, fail to do so will affect the KPI for the month. Work life balance is not practice by this company as the management want integration instead. Management will send not work related message to company group chat to check who is going to read during their off day / public holiday / weekend or MC. Going home sharp even though if u report to work punctual and finish all the task of the day , management will assume your workload too light and you can handle more so the management will create more unnecessary task to you.

The good thingsI was shorlisted for a Food Technologist job interview. The interviewer provided insightful advice on my attitude and interest which was helpful to my career development. Clearly the company strives for the best quality in all aspects. I humbly assume that I learnt a lot through the conversation with the interviewer. Really happy to know this company.

The challenges- Long working hours, need to work until over working hours. - Most of this company's employees are interns, lacking permanent staff to guide. - Low work-life balance, you are required to respond to the message when you are on leave or MC. - MC or leaves are not provided to the intern, the management can extend the working hour of the intern as their want.

    Interview experience
The good thingsThank you for giving me the interview opportunity. The interview session was great as both the interviewer were friendly and showed a positive attitude which make me able to share my opinion comfortably. They were some challenging questions that make me think outside of the box and did not expect to be asked. Overall it was a great experience and I'm sure I gain something new today.
The challengesDon't have any experience working with the company yet.

Poor management and poor working environment
The good thingsnothing good to comment
The challengesPoor management. Company not willing to get fulltime staff, most of it are intern. Without the experience staff, the company system is messy. Multitask is required as you need to handle at least 3 person job, management prefer staff to work until late. Performance is not important, you are good as long as you willing to stay back without performance. But this doesn't mean you can get high pay or good bonus. There is low or no increment, as well as bonus. Work life balance doesn't exist in this company, as management need work life integration. You are require to response to the email or dingtalk although you are on leave, mc or hospitalize.
