Working environment was generally positive, the presence of favoritism remained a significant concern
The good thingsIt has been a great experience working in this company. The conducive working environment, supportive team, and approachable doctors made my time here meaningful. Even with the lower pay, the reduced stress and trust given to us to make decisions truly stood out.
The challengesShould consider implementing a more transparent and merit-based promotion system for nurses. Promotions should reflect experience, contributions, and the quality of work rather than personal favoritism. Many nurses with over 10 years of experience remain as ordinary staff nurses, and the KPI system does not accurately represent the effort and responsibility we carry. When staff inquire about promotion opportunities, we are often told there is ‘no quota’ for senior positions, which feels dismissive and unfair. Management or HR should also conduct proper background checks and periodic performance evaluations for nurse managers, as there appears to be significant favoritism occurring at the clinical level. Proper qualifications must be mandatory when appointing nurse managers. A post-basic alone is not enough for a leadership role. At minimum, a nursing degree should be required. Appointing individuals without the right qualifications compromises leadership quality and staff confidence.

A place to develop your career
The good thingsThe best employer in terms of recognition and career growth. My 5 years journey started as a senior executive and end as a manager. The management was also generous to the staff and families by giving bonuses and discounts for inpatient & outpatient as well as overseas trips. The specialists are also kind and give discounts (sometimes free) to staff and families. For career growth, this is the best place to strengthen knowledge and to build experience. Hospital setup is definitely different and will have a huge positive impact on your CV. It is also a good working environment. The top management and staffs are helpful. No office politics concerning my position and department. I had a generally only best and good experience with the EFMD team. Top management also acknowledged and value your idea and opinion.
The challengesAs a hospital, the main business is not project management, hence the resources (i.e manpower) were very limited. Need to manage how management perceives you. You have to play few roles in project management as well as maintenance and do your very best. Being a multi-skilled project manager is a huge advantage. The job was stressful but manageable.... I think.. Alternate festive holiday.. plan well with your spouse.

Helping the nurses with some work such as admissions of new patient and discharge the patient from the dialysis centre.
The good thingsI really enjoy working there. The staff is helpful the newbies. You will expect a stressful in your first day of working as you need to blend with new environment but the day after you will enjoy every little thing.
The challengesSo far I don’t experience any bad things. It’s normal to find it stressful work but if you understand the flow you will able to work
