It feels great to be out
The good thingsThe people is nice Have quite good social activities Near to LRT Got department trip which quite nice but depends on your group
The challengesTypical corporate politics The more you become the yes-man/people pleaser the more likeable your are and favoritism is real there Family business, hierarchy at its finest Despite the people being nice, they also 'talk' a lot Parking lot benefit for certain level only No flexi friday or whatever. Dont even dream to have this. It has been suggested before. The older you there, the longer you stay. The younger you there, the shortest you stay.

    Treat employee badly
The good thingsNot really... can't think of any...
The challengesGive too much power to seniors... Most of the seniors just got promoted as old senior left... and most of the juniors are fresh... Your senior will call you on 5.30am early in the morning/weekend... Too much work as not enough people...

Terrible place, don’t come here unless you are desperate
The good thingsThe only good things is the starting salary base is considered quite high among audit firms, but when you took the benefits and workloads into consideration, the Company will be one of the worst.
The challengesUnreasonable job allocation where junior given the tasks which are supposed to be done by senior, unrealistic expectations especially in term of the timeline, the employees overworked without rest and keep being thrown into new engagements, there was no time to learn any technical knowledge at all as you have to rush to complete all the backlogs every single day, the working environment is toxic with excessive office politics from the management to low-level employee.

The challengesHeavy workload, long working hours, no work life balance, work also on weekends, no OT claim at all, pay lower than Big 4, unsupportive and rude seniors who always blame juniors for everything, office politics. A Place for Retirement
The good things1. Western branding 2. Baker Tilly International network firm 3. Young and energetic corporate image 4. Salaried partners with variety of expertise 5. Good place for fresh graduates after the Big Fours as plenty of public listed companies
The challenges1. China man culture 2. Heng's family business 3. Low cost strategy, low pricing, low engagement budget, low quality deliverables 4. Top to bottom Heng's blood flow through the management system, narrow minded fact is undeniable 5. The number of sales and corporate partners outweighs the technical partners 6. Low quality of experiences that could offer and achievable in short term 7. Mid to Low market position in accounting industry.

OT non stop throughout the whole year
The good thingsKind and helpful colleague
The challengesOT non stop and have to work every single day including weekends without getting any extra pay or benefits. Manager or seniors expect the associates to know everything automatically without any assistance and guidance. Terrible office politics even between staffs with lower ranking. Time allocated was insufficient and stacking up to sometime 4 to 5 engagement.

Good working place but not good enough to stay
The good thingsat my time i have encounter some very helpful colleagues (managers , seniors, juniors) , but also very depend on your luck to see which team you join in . Always speak out your issues(job allocation/time management) to management, they are willing to solve for you
The challengesits very common to do jobs which are not designed for your role , lack of seniors and so most of the juniors need to take over the senior role, dont think you will have time to learn here there is no time for you to digest your work if you want to complete on time

    Work everyday, weekend also
The good thingsGood learning experience. Exposure to many industries.
The challengesToo much admin work to do. Not enough time per engagement eg. only 1 or 2 weeks max for big companies. No time to follow up or draft report. Every month new client, mostly rejected by Big 4 and other mid tier firms. because cash flow problems. But rarely new staff join in because they know Baker Tilly is very bad. Incompetent clients that give management accounts after many days of engagement. A lot of juniors not enough seniors. Almost every week new job so have to spend all weekend to work. No life and low pay.

The good thingsThe management respect employees' personal time. The overall office culture is friendly, caring and supportive. There is direct communication channel with the management, hence employees can bring up any issue easily.

too much admin work to do
The good thingsduring my time, some colleagues and seniors are helpful. I can learn a lot because heavy workload everytime.
The challengeshard to finish work without OT everyday even on weekends. managers dont allocate enough time for each engagement. not enough auditors in group, so have to do almost everything by yourself. Too much admin work eg. have to print report and signing pages. No typist as well. So have to do every report without help.
