    Good opportunity for me
    The good thingsIt has been a good opportunity to improve my communication skills. I was given the chance to liaise with different departments as well as external parties like vendors and clients. I have been given the chance to work in a programming project which helps to develop my programming skills (which is also one of my passions). Also able to learn the application of programming in industry. I've got friendly co-workers who are always happy to help provide guidance and advice.

    The good thingsWorking in Basisbay has been a wonderful albeit challenging journey. Some of the points that I can relate to are:- 01) Open concept : Management team are very approachable and they are very supportive. 02) Integrity : This is of upmost importance 03) A challenging and rewarding working environment. 04) Recognition : Your efforts are well recognized. 05) A very conducive working environment 06) Fun and supportive colleagues 07) Flexible working hours.

    Working with Basis Bay is always exciting and inspiring.
    The good thingsI have been working with Basis Bay for 1.5 years as Senior Mngr - Service Delivery and also worked with Basis Bay in 2016. Basis Bay will give you platform to grow and encourage their employees to explore new things and ideas. The management of Basis Bay is really supportive especially the Hon’ble CEO of the company. I am really happy to work here and the working culture is really appreciating.

    The good thingsI have learnt and improved my skills and industry knowledge since joining and I am still learning since Basis Bay is continuously growing. There are exciting plans ahead and many great opportunities here to enhance our careers, to grow professionally and as individuals. The leadership team and my managers continuously give us guidance to improve and learn not only in terms of our job scope but also much wider, in terms of the business, our industry and leadership skills. The people, environment, and culture here are great as we work as a real team. I really enjoy my time working here. We've got a visionary leader in Dato' Praba and I'm immersing myself in a spectrum of things here which is exciting. The wide range of activities boost career progression and opportunities for the Basis Bayers, all of whom are an amazing team to work with.
    The challengesNothing I can think of. What I align with personally is how honesty and integrity are core company values. We're always striving for international best practices in all that we do, enhancing our reputation as a domestic and international expert in multiple domains and championing green initiatives and sustainability all the way through. The triple bottom line framework informs everything we do. I am, likewise, particularly conscious of the company's social, environmental and economic impact and the leadership role it is taking in this regard. ​

    The good thingsWorking at Basis Bay is a very enriching experience because one gets to be a part of a fast-paced, growth-oriented organization built on strong values of integrity, sustainability, and leadership. Co-workers are very supportive and cooperative, and many employees have been with the organization for long periods of time. The senior management offers guidance and thought leadership on a regular basis, helping each employee learn more about the business and the industry. The on boarding processes are very thoughtful and well planned, making new employees feel comfortable from day one.

    The culture at Basis Bay is the best I’ve seen in all the companies I have ever worked at.
    The good thingsI joined Basis Bay in 2019 and find it's a better atmosphere to enhance my career and skills. Basis Bay is an extremely fast-growing company and a wonderful place to work! The CEO truly cares about each individual, welcomes creativity and leads by example. The culture at Basis Bay is the best I’ve seen in all the companies I have ever worked at. Everyone is authentic and loves what they do. Training processes are great and really help people to feel comfortable in their position. The managers are always willing to help and will take time out of their day, they are dedicated to helping you if needed.     The good thingsI have worked at Basis Bay Group for over 10 years. This is the longest work engagement in my 20-year career. Basis Bay has provided me with career exposure and growth not only in my current scope of work but also other than non- core logistics and warehouse functions. I do not have any concerns about taking on new things given by my manager. We manage our roles and responsibilities as if the company was our own.

    The good thingsI have been with Basis Bay for 11 years. One of the biggest reasons for staying so long is that I am always learning new things. My boss encourages me to learn new things which I didn't find at my previous companies. I took a course on being a Chargeman and enjoyed it. I think it's great that I get to keep learning on the job.

    The good thingsI have been working in this company for more than 5 years. There are many things I have explored especially in Data Centre Services. Started my career as a Service Desk Analyst and after 3 years, I got the opportunity and trust from management to lead the team. I also became involved in MIS support as well. I am glad to be able to work here because the company gives me a chance to improve my career and I am looking forward to jump to the next level.The most important thing is that the company is implementing good core values with integrity among colleagues and the company itself.     Autocratic style management
    The good thingsThe mid level staff are all good people with aspirations. Many are self motivated and have a high level of tolerance.
    The challengesIt is a problem when there is a sole decision maker who does not trust his staff. The company has a lot of problems at face level and it is well kept hidden during the interview. I was a junior recruit from Jobstreet. The process was smooth for me and convincing but after 3 weeks being here, I realised people come and go because the decision maker is problematic.

    Overall I enjoyed my time at Basis Bay and if the right role came up I would go back
    The good thingsThe team and collaborative work environment, access to resources and a vast variety of knowledge, skills and ideas available from other people. Opportunities to move within the firm and overseas including secondments to client sites. Encouragement to engage in community programs.
    The challengesWorkload and expectations. Sometimes 1 person takes on much more than what they can handle and managers don't realise they are overloaded but not entirely their fault because they can be under pressure as well.

    The good thingsTalented and driven colleagues. Many have a lot of experiences and knowledge to share. Non hostile work environment.
    The challengesWork life balance is not respected and there's too many internal meetings that drag on for hours. A lot of admin tasks as nothing is automated, old and outdated systems. Senior management team is still very much looked down upon.

    The good thingsBasis Bay really looks after their staff both career wise and their welfare. There are plenty of opportunities for those who want it. They treat you with respect and do not dismiss any suggestions you have but consider them.
    The challengesIn any firm there is always give and take. Basis Bay expects the very best performance from you and takes note of your productivity and commitment. Sometimes you will work long hours if there is a special project on and it is expected that you will give 100% to see the project through.

    The good thingsThe range of work and clients that I was exposed to was stimulating and interesting. There were opportunities for me to be directly exposed to senior stakeholders and to external clients which has allowed for my own personal development and expanded my professional network.
    The challengesPart of the challenge is to achieve a work/life balance as the workload is cyclical in nature. During times when multiple engagements are occurring at the same time, it places pressure on personal commitments and presents a challenge to better manage time and develop effective delegation skills.
