The challengesLangkawi is rapidly build of hotels. Low season makes the hotel facing slow sales and business performance.

    THIS HOTEL RECOMMENDED FOR BEGINNER
The good thingsA VINTAGE HOTEL WHICH MANAGE TO MAINTAIN ITS CLEANLINESS AND SERVICES.THE STAFF VERY POLITE AND FRIENDLY WHICH ABLE TO HELP THE GUEST 24/7. AS DUTY MANAGER, WE ENABLE TO WORK IN ALL OPERATIONS WHICH YOU WILL GAIN A LOT OF EXPERIENCE.
The challengesTO MAINTAIN THE SERVICES FOR 27TH YEARS OF HOTEL. MOST OF THE STAFF IS SENIOR STAFF WHO HAS WORKED IN THIS HOTEL SINCE OPENING. IN ORDER TO ENCOURAGE THEM FOLLOW NEW SYSTEM OF WORK, MANAGEMENT REALLY WORK HARD TO HANDLE IT.

The Staff there is good, but management out of expectation of a 4Star hotel
The good thingsSo far their leadership is acceptable
The challengesDon't only get the free trainee from hotel management school. Give more benefit to them, and try to give more opportunity to learn. Not only ask them work like slave

    Great Experience
The good thingsDuring my internship here on 2011, I was in F&B department. I went there with zero knowledge just based on my theory skills. Then, I've been taught with the sequence of services, banquet skills, greeting skills, and not to forget my last 2 months internship at Housekeeping department where I've learnt on bed making, room service, handling dirty and clean linen and etc. Overall, I am so grateful.
The challengesThe challenge part is when my manager trust me 100 % and he gave me the F&B outlet (Palette Cafe) to manage it by myself without any permanent staff to accompany me. Then, I can manage it well. I am very thankful with the opportunity given and it is the best experience ever because I can know my ability.
