An eye-opening experience but lacked proper trainingThe good thingsAn eye-opening and rewarding experience as you get to work with special needs children that are on the moderate to severe spectrum. Colleagues are quite helpful and if you can get along well with them, they will have your back. The management is also always willing to hear you out.
The challengesNo proper training provided especially for freshies thus it can be very stressful figuring out proper methods to deal with the children's tantrums or meltdowns. The job can be energy-draining most of the time. Extreme patience and must love working with children is highly needed for this job.
