Overall, it is a workplace with supportive colleagues and good teamwork, but with challenges in workload and policies.
The good thingsColleagues are very supportive and teamwork is strong. Management provides some guidance, and the location is convenient. Students are much like any other school, and while some parents can be demanding, many are reasonable and cooperative.
The challengesThe workload can be very heavy, especially with large class sizes. Requests to manage this more effectively are not always acted on, and some departments would benefit from more resources. Frequent changes in policies make it challenging to keep up, and the time commitment outside of regular hours is significant compared to the pay.
