    Bad Management No Direction
The good thingsFree Parking within Bursa but junior level need to drive down 5 floors to park their cars.
The challengesManagement are paid 5 figures but they indeed don't know what they are doing. No sense of direction and no leadership skills. Too much emphasis on cost-cutting rather than deriving ways to earn more profit. Blaming game is strong and no trust to lower level. Just wondering where did they gain their experience.

The challengesIf you are looking for the best ladder to climb your career. Here, its lil bit slow. Its not about the company, it is more on who are you working for. As long as your boss can understand you and always appreciate your job that would be great! Overall, this company provide

Good Company but not the best place to work
The good thingsYou will working with the only one national stock exchange in Malaysia. Joyful benefits with bonus based on your performance, share grant ( manager level & above). You will have a very good co workers!
The challengesYou can work here if you can manage your stress because you will work with the bosses with too ambitious desires with unclear directions. Hence, the timelines are ridiculous, be prepare to work until past mid night. No perks working until late hours. This company totally inflexible. You will receive a late coming letter if you late for work, although you stay at the office until mid night.

The challengesIf you start as an executive the career growth here is quite slow compare to other company out there.

Honored working at country icon but poor management
The good thingsYou feel honored working for the only Exchange in Malaysia. Excellent junior to middle management to certain extent. Good working environment with friendly colleagues overall. Great exposure working with regulators and peers from industry
The challenges- Severe lack in transparency - Incompetent management committee who focuses more on politics - Unfair performance management, especially with bell curve aka force-ranking - Board of directors not professional nor independent enough

The good thingsThe good thing you work here is you will have a good colleagues! The company put a great effort in employee engagement.
The challengesPoor Management : So many layers or process that might make your work very slow. Even though you're finished your work but the review process will take a long time. Hence some project will be stuck. So many reports that you need to prepare for the different bosses and different department. Salary : Very low

The challengesPoor management - projects and tasks were given last minute with ridiculous deadlines - lack of direction Long working hours - no work/life balance Too much politics - your career path depended on who you were close with High turnover of staff - resulting in challenges in succession planning Unfair distribution of bonuses Corporate strategy not truly in place or followed

    Red Tapes and Politics
The good thingsExposure to other Exchanges/jurisdictions. Networking. A different perspective and aspect of the capital market and its participants. Ability to change the landscape of the capital market by policy writing.
The challengesRed tapes and protocols. Politics. Overcoming the outdated mentality that the younger ones will need to wait to be awarded/promoted despite performing much better than the more senior ones. This is demoralizing

A good stepping stone but lacks career development
The good thingsBursa Malaysia provides great employee engagements through the following initiatives:- 1. Half yearly / yearly CEO's conversation where staff was able to ask questions directly to the CEO pertaining to any areas of concern. 2. Yearly treasure hunt. 3. Yearly team building. 4. Yearly indulge 'King of Durian' session 5. Appreciation lunch for significant successful event / initiatives launched
The challengesBursa Malaysia require improvements in the following areas:- 1. Career Development - Staff were not clear on their career development as superiors were not able to provide guidance. 2. Poor Management - Management are not transparent. 3. Non-transparent Performance Appraisal - Staff do not get the final ratings from the Performance Appraisal form. Final ratings are informed on the Bonus Letter.
