Good stepping stone to jump for better opportunity.
The good thingsJob offered can somehow be a great challenge to fresh graduates or even for professional worker. They give nice salary range for a new joiner and the perks are somewhat at the same par as other MNC companies. If you're lucky you end up working with a bunch of experienced employees.
The challengesIf you look for a good career growth, this is not the place for you. And if you are looking for a place with good bonus and such, it's not really up to per normal Malaysian company standards.

    Good Experience
The good thingsLearn good industry best practices, technical knowledge Salary is pretty competitive with the market, but also depends on the seniority level and the project industry. You can also get a pretty good amount of business knowledge of the various industries.
The challengesThe exposure to various new and latest technologies are pretty limited, especially if the project you're working on in something which is on-going, and chances of jumping to a different project with a different exposure are very very limited, unless the project you're working on has reached end of life.

The good thingsFrank and open lines of communication between staff members and management. Very minimum office politics so that effort it on getting the job done. Good work environment for those that like to stay in a company and grow their skills and experiences.
The challengesCGI's business in Malaysia is very small compared to other MNCs as well as compared to it's own business in other regions. This means there is less opportunities to move between roles to gain valuable experience.

    Great Perks Structured Work
The good thingsEverything has a system to follow. From daily work to evaluations of performance and new system introduced. You will know that you are following rules when there is no emails coming your way from the IT department but you will still get an email from the IT department when new things are introduced.Benefits are great when you are moving up the ladder and the retirement plan are fantastic.
The challengesDifficult to get new toys approved. Hiring new staff is a challenge when you are not in the profit center. Whenever a new purchase is required more justification is required and this may be the norms of most companies nowadays.

If you follow the correct person
The good thingsthe flexi hour and friendly colleague basically the best part which make me stay until now. There is no office politics here compare with my previous company. There is movie day, badminton day and so on activities.
The challengesTeam lead who does not understand what he should do and don't bother to learn the technical skill / business knowledge, always take credit for the staff work, treat himself as a manager level people. Leader who always change his mind/decision make people confuse and spoil my daily plan. No bonus provided
