Might be good for fresh grads to explore but definitely a stepping stone in your career and not a place you want to stay for long.
The good thingsYou will eventually learn while you work. But since they're so old-school, eventually you're learning old things.
The challengesLacking sense of improvement in technology. Work environment is boring. Their working methodology is very tedious due to their in-house applications.

For fresh graduates who are passion about learning how a systems works
The good thingsGood working culture, colleagues/superior are willing to help, family-based business. Pay on time! In this role, you are expected to be good at AutoCAD and Excel. Then, you are the one who is responsible to design the layout and do the quotation file. You are in the sales department so numbers are a very sensitive topic.
The challengesIs project-based, when there have no projects coming in, you have nothing to do. However, during peak season, you will be very busy such as you need to handle multiple projects at the same time, and sometimes also work overtime in order to submit the quotation to customers before the dateline. Team building between management and workers can be improved. The targeted revenue to hit is challenging but when it hits, it will be very rewarding such as a high bonus.

Slow growth in any aspect and progress
The good thingsFamily based company that pays on time. Some very good manager/ team leaders that are willing to spare time to teach although they are busy.
The challengesToo little training opportunity internal and external. Limited facilities and old technologies even for working tools. Poor communication and understanding between all different levels of workers

    Family business mindset
The good thingsWork 5 days a week for office. Good bonus and increment only when you are close to boss. Not much work when no project. Your boss doesn't really care what you doing, as long as you keep OT.
The challengesReduction in benefits by stages to reduce the cost. (Insurance, Leave payback, etc) Work and nobody notice you actually working until you left the company. (Past experience from ex-colleague) You do something that is not your jobscope. (Admin data entry)

Good training center for fresh grad with bad benefits
The good things- A lot project from all around the world. - Constant able to travel for site goer (good and bad at the same time) - Good and long sighted CEO but not middle management. - Many things to learn but with a lot of scolding from senior. - On time salary.
The challenges- Bad middle management with super bad politic between departments. - Blaming between departments is very common. - Bad benefits (have but very limited) such as insurance and allowance. - For site goer, the benefits is bad such as shared room in a terrible hotel or stay more 10 people in one two story homestay. - Bad IT infrastructure such as laptop is very old (probably at least 5 years old), no VPN access in covid period and everything still offline. - A lot old middle management (people that waiting retirement) which won't accept new working style or new technologies. - Very bad career development as they not willing to try new things (middle management fault) - A lot OT during project peak period with very bad OT pay ( can be as low as rm5 for certain range of salary)

    Best Training Ground
The good thingsYou get to learn a lot of skill sets and knowledge from seniors. With more than 40 years of solid experience in the material handling system industry, we get to learn all the details related to the logistic and material handling industry. Plus the company has a good practice of cultivating good engineering culture, we get to grow our skill sets according to our strength.
The challengesThe challenges are to be able to cope with multiple areas of job scope in a single project. As most projects are from customers which are big and reputable companies, it is challenged to keep up with learning and adapting quickly to their needs hence providing us with good learning environment yet with a good level of positive pressure to improve further.

The challengesIn term of work-life balance, company should have do better on this area. Company dinner should have done it annually to compensate the hard work of the employee and the company need a strong management team to set clear goal and direction.
