Stressful and Disappointing Place to WorkThe good thingsUnderstanding colleagues, free parking
The challengesHonestly, working here is more stress than it’s worth. The company is obsessed with micromanaging everything, so don’t expect any freedom to do your job. The manager doesn’t accept suggestions or feedback; everything must follow her decisions and instructions. Bonuses are tiny (not even one month’s salary or even half), which leaves you feeling really demotivated and unappreciated for your hard work. Forget about career development—there’s no room to grow. The top management consists of only two people: the manager and the director. The director isn’t even from Malaysia and only comes to the office a few times a year. He seriously lacks manners, never admits when he’s wrong, and doesn’t appreciate his employees at all. Decisions are very inconsistent, and the manager changes her mind constantly, making it a super stressful environment. The turnover rate is really high; staff resign every month. The company is extremely focused on profits and is very calculative about everything—even free food is rare, and when it’s provided, it’s under a tight budget, like one ice cream per staff member.
