The good thingsI have a great boss that I can work closely with. Career growth here is plentiful and merited base on high performance. It is also a good nurturing ground as we cover a lot angles with minimal red tapes and restrictions. We also deal with locals so it can be slightly easier compared to dealing with foreigners e.g. time difference, language, culture, etc There are good facilities covered by the company that promotes healthy lifestyle and it cares for child's welfare too.
The challengesWe are forever restructuring and attrition fluctuations exponentially. This can be of an advantage as it gives every individual an opportunity to take up new challenges. CUSCAPI also lacks structured processes and a handful of the management team lacks the ability to lead and plan. Like many clients, they are not very forgiving but definitely demanding requesting 24 hour work. Lastly, we lack in-house developers as the developments are via overseas. Hopefully with the correct restructuring, we are able to form the appropriate team to run in-house programming.

My first company to work for
The good thingsI would say that I have learned about team work, real world enterprise systems used in production by clients. Ability to further enhance my skills in java/j2ee technologies. A change to implement new technology like ajax on my own.
The challengesI would say its challenging because I have to learn everything on my own from the code. The technical skills I have gathered here is done on my own without anyone's help/guidance. Although there are some blocks in the road due to my lack of understanding either technically code wise or in business understanding, it did not stop me from getting the work done.
