Outdated Systems, Silos, and Limited Career GrowthThe good thingsThe pay is above average with a lot of benefits including MiCare and the working environment is pleasant (newly renovated across many departments).
The challengesWell, to start I'd say that this company is extremely backwards since everyone in top management are dinosaurs (old timers who has been here since the company creation). It's quite crazy to see from junior to senior it only takes about 2-3 years max, but from there onwards to manager you'd practically have to work up to 10. Career advancement is extremely poor, toxic seniors, old school systems and protocols, departments operate in silos, with limited visibility into each other’s activities, no centralized system to track documentation, resulting in inconsistencies, duplicated efforts, and communication gaps. And think about it, with archaic systems in place, new-comers who aren't familiar will take time to adapt, but they don't make it easy for you either... I can't talk about the whole of this company, but the department i worked in and the department(s) I dealt with, I'd say my description is pretty consistent.
