    Consultant > Developer
The good thingsThey are partnership with Microsoft. Currently they evolving into consultant firm. If you are consultant, they value you a lot. Consultant do not required to have technical skill
The challengesCompany value consultant more than developer. Communication between consultant and developer. Sales team does not have the knowledge on capability on the developer team.

1 to 2 years in the role, current employee
    Great team, excellent environment
The good thingsAutomation team is very cohesive and everyone is in good spirits and helpful. Environment is casual, as long as you do what is required of you, you are treated as an adult and you're free to express your ideas. Approaching your manager is always encouraged and they listen and try to accommodate your needs as best as they can. It's great that they have a business process set in place and you can never go wrong if you follow it.
The challengesThere is a steep learning curve. Although training is provided for 5.5 to 6 weeks for new hires, once you hit the ground running, you have to be able to pick up new business processes and technical products/update quickly. You are under the guidance of your team leads, managers, and senior staff who are always willing to help, but you have to be able to catch on . Your technical knowledge and logical thinking of how an application should run and where to troubleshoot needs to be sharp. There are several departments, and some have rotational shift so be ready to adjust. Improvement can be made in making the KPI for Automation more achievable. Although no one is penalized for not reaching it, it's nearly impossible to meet all the metrics.

A great work life balance workplace
The good thingsCompany provided free annual full body health check to all the employees. Rewarding employees and motivate them by having Quarterly Award event. Encourage employees to continue developed themselves by giving them extra Study Leaves and Exam Leaves apart from typical Annual Leave. Company fully paid employee's personal new computer. Gave out good increment and adjustment yearly.
The challengesHR should take a chance to investigate if particular team has shown high staff turn over after a new leader has joined the team. Exit interview should carried out with a professional way to help company to improve to become a better workplace. Perhaps, a yearly appraisal should have done for superior as well. Hence, both superior and subordinate can keep track on their progress.

    Good Culture Experience
The good thingsDatacom Management was run like a big family. They believe in constructive feedback from employees. I remember the time when we had to relocate to Cyberjaya after obtaining the MSC status. Our late CEO made tremendous effort in conducting surveys to obtain feedback from employees. I respected this man who decided to move to Petaling Jaya despite the higher cost! Empoyees opinion do count
The challengesChallenges in maintaining call agents in this industry. Maintaining a profitable project has always been a challenge as its a competitive industry. Profit margin and bottom line is lean! Not huge compensations as compared to other industries. But Datacom still wins in terms of work life balance
